Did you know?! All 9 symphonies by Beethoven were arranged for violin and piano and published in the 1880s. Why would anyone do this? Are the arrangements good? What do they sound like?

In a series of 9 concerts with each exploring a Beethoven symphony, Violinist Max Tan and pianist TianYi Li will explore the hidden culture of private music-making before an era of recordings. With the feel of a living room discussion and various recording examples to explore, Max and TianYi embark on an adventure on how the violin-piano duo captures the universe of Beethoven’s symphonies.
